RSVP?
We love to hear from you personally but the best way to RSVP is through our wedding website. We ask for wedding RSVPs by no later than June 1st. For all other events, please RSVP by August 1st.

Our goal is to keep our very special day as intimate as possible so we are choosing to celebrate with only our closest family and friends. Your wedding invitation is addressed to all invited guests. Thank you for respecting our wishes.
If you are traveling with someone, they are welcome to participate in the other activities we have organized for the days before and after the wedding.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We advise that you arrive by 4:30pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm.
What will your wedding-day timeline look like?
The Ceremony will begin at 5pm and will be followed by an Aperitivo and Seated Dinner. After-hour festivities will take place at the same venue and will end at 2am.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Ideally and weather permitting, we will be hosting most events outdoors. Be mindful that the location has grass and gravel stones.
What will the weather be like?
August in Italy is fairly warm. As long as it is a sunny day, we expect it to be at least 27C or 80F. Last August evenings can see a bit more a temperature drop.
How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?
We don't want anyone to have to worry about driving so we will be providing transportation from the center of Udine. The bus will leave at 3:30pm. Location TBA. The bus will then do two return trips: the first at around 11pm and the second at 2am.
What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
Delicious and abundant bites will be offered during the Aperitivo hour. A short seated dinner will be served to follow. The menu will be composed of typical Italian fair and a touch of Friuli. While there is no choice of dish, we are able to accommodate all dietary restrictions, so please make sure to let us know when you RSVP.
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?
Please communicate any dietary restrictions along with your RSVP.
Do you have a wedding registry?
We’re so excited to start our lives together and grateful to have you be part of it. We have chosen to skip the traditional registry and focus more on our honeymoon. If you're thinking of a gift, we would be thrilled to receive a contribution towards our honeymoon fund which you can find on this website. Thank you so much!
Can I bring my gift to the wedding?
If you do choose to gift us anything instead of contributing to the honeymoon fun, we highly encourage that it be delivered before or after the wedding at our home address.
Can I bring my kids?
We know it is a long trip so of course your children are welcome. Please let us know in your RSVP if they will be joining us. We would however like our ceremony and vows to remain intimate and tantrum free so let's connect about how to make it happen!
What other events are you organizing?
We have organized events starting Friday, August 29th through to Monday, September 1st. More information regarding these events is available in the "Events" section of the website.
What's your wedding hashtag?
Ask Lisa Karmel
How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?
If we have any additional information to share after you’ve received our invitations, we will send email updates through the wedding website.
What's the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?
You can reach out to us personally at any time up until the day before the wedding. On the day of the wedding we will make you aware of best contacts for any last minute questions.
Should I rent a car?
While not necessary, you may enjoy the freedom of having a car. If you choose not to rent one, public transportation and the busses we have organized for the wedding events will take you everywhere you need to go - it might just take a little longer.
Flying from the Americas
If you are flying from outside of Europe, we recommend flying into Venice Marco Polo. From there you can rent a car or take a train to get to Udine. While the wedding will not be in Udine, we do encourage everyone to find accommodation there, where you'll have access to shops, restaurants, entertainment, and anything else you may need during your stay. A bus will take you from Udine to all wedding events.
Other airports you can choose to fly to close to Udine are Trieste-Ronchi dei Legionari and Treviso-A. Cavona. These tend to have fewer flights and amenities but can occasionally offer better pricing.
United Airlines and Delta have a direct flight from NY to Venice daily during the summer months. These may be slightly more expensive than 1-Stop flights but certainly more convenient.
Arriving from Italy and surrounding countries
If you are taking the opportunity to go on a Euro-trip, trains and low cost flights are extremely convenient and frequent. If you choose to travel by train, which in Europe is quite comfortable and fast, look for tickets on www.tranitalia.com.
What else can I do while I'm in Friuli?
Visit Trieste and it's stunning Piazza Unità d'Italia. Visit Venzone for its famous mummies. Visit Cividale for a relaxing day strolling a medieval town. Drive to Bled (Slovenia) for a relaxing day on a lake. More activities listed in the Things To Do page.
Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?
Yes, please visit the travel section of this website.
